Friesian fire is going into the Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds. His trainer is Larry Jones with rider Gabriel Saez. Jones is also sending Ithappenedagain in the race. The Risen star is the final local prep for the Louisana Derby. The 1 1/16 mile race has attracted 11 other including, Giant Oak, Indygo Mountain, Flying Pegasus, Au Moon, Uno Mas, Dumar, Soul Warrior, Map of the World, Nowhere to hide, Code of Honour, and Summer's Empire.Workouts for Today

I am also a bit fan of Alex. How can one not be? I am anxiously awaiting for his 2 yr. olds to race. I'm also a fan of AP Indy and that leads up to Friesian Fire. He has the class and pedigree to run the classics and now we know in the slop too. I'm also rooting for Larry Jones to retire a winner after what happened last year.
